Water - it's incredible

Big Water

We are considering moving to a rural area of Spokane, WA. This area has 5 - 10 acre parcels for each home. Most of the homes have their own wells. Before you buy a house in this area you need to always get a well report. If the well runs dry - you have no water. It would be very hard to exist without water.

Preparing for our future move, I have been reading "The Home Water Supply". God has just been opening the eyes of my spirit about the incredible place water plays in life itself.

Earth - MoonLife cannot exist without water. We just watched an interesting Moody Science Video with the kids: "Where the Waters Run". It starts by comparing an image of the Earth and the Moon from space. The Earth has life - the Moon does not. The major differences between the two images? The beautiful color blue on earth. The color is the abundance of water on the earth. Without water there can be no life.

Water stores more energy than almost any other substance on earth. It is the huge oceans of the world and all the other water in the earth that stabilize the temperatures on earth. It prevents the earth as a whole from becoming a broiling killing desert or deadly frozen wasteland. Water is the earth's heating and cooling system.

The Earth is almost like a living organism itself. Water is not just on the surface of the earth, but in all sorts of aquifers and streams under the earth. Just like our body has veins for our blood to flow thru, the earth has underground streams that are called vein aquifers.

Water is a universal solvent. It assimilates the majority of what it comes in contact with. This is how it can supply our body with so many needed nutrients and help purify our bodies.

A huge percentage of our bodies are water. Every molecule of water in on body is replaced once every 3 weeks. All of the cells are of body are filled with water that is just passing thru.

John 7:37-39 (NIV)
On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, ?If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as[a] the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.? By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive.

Jesus likens the Holy Spirit to the water of life. Just as water is essential to life on this earth - the Holy Spirit is essential to Life with God. Just as water must continually flow thru our body to replenish us, even so must God's Spirit continually flow thru us to give us His life.

We cannot get healthy water from a stagnant pool. The Holy Spirit comes into us and flows out of us. God gives us His life - and we have an abundance to share with others. Just as the water in our physical bodies is completly replaced every 3 weeks, so God's Spirit must be received new continually.

Just as water is so easily available to all of us at the turn of the faucet - so the water of life - the Holy Spirit is available whenever we ask for it. It is there for the taking.

Rev 22:17 NIV: The Spirit and the bride say, ?Come!? And let him who hears say, ?Come!? Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.

Just as we cannot exist without water each day - we cannot exist without the water of the Holy Spirit each day.
